As part of the Northern Territory governments plan to provide long term water security for the Darwin region, extraction of water from the Adelaide River during wet season flows and construction of an off-stream storage reservoir is being considered. MES was commissioned to undertake a seismic refraction survey as part of a feasibility study to assess foundation conditions for dam structures, geological conditions for tunnelling and quarry material for the construction of a dam.
